We are all wearing the same shoes.

I've had many questions lately about our time frame with the boys...We are still waiting on a court date, and a tad bit discouraged after reading the below information. The Maynard's are adopting brothers, too with the same agency we are. Their little guys are at a different orphanage than Charlie & Sam. As posted yesterday on the Maynard's blog...

Oh, and just in case you were actually checking in the adoption news.....we still do not know anything. Our orphanage rep went to see the judge yesterday to ask what would happen to the cases that were not heard last week...and she would not give an answer. There is only 1 judge now in Ethiopia and as you can imagine she is very busy!! So please pray for a miracle that she may decide to slide our cases in over the next few months rather than putting us 6-8 weeks out with a new court date. The larger agencies are already pushed out 6-8 weeks but we are praying she will grant favor to us smaller agencies who do not have as many cases overall. Who knows....other than GOD! He already has the timeframe laid out perfectly...so if nothing else pray for my peace in the meantime!
I like to tell myself that "no news is good news", then make the discovery that there is only ONE JUDGE in Ethiopia right now! I'm not sure whose grand idea it was to only have one judge... How much Law School would I need to be a judge in Ethiopia??

The long and short of it...there are many families in the same boat we are. That's the S.S. Waiting, in case you were wondering. We are all in the same shoes. Prayerfully, and at many times impatiently, waiting to bring our precious children home!

To get my mind off the delay, Nicole and I are painting the boy's room tomorrow. Green! My favorite!
