Some favorite VBS moments...
Watching kids try to jump rope in life jackets, flippers and goggles. Sounds cruel, but was actually quite humorous.
Explaining to our toddler teachers that, "Yes, I do expect the toddlers to put their feet in paint and walk across a piece of paper. And yes, I do realize the potential for a gigantic mess!" (The funny part is that I got them paint that was NOT washable...ha! My bad.)
Although it's really not VBS related, but loved sitting at a table with several of our preschoolers during snack one night and having Emma tell Jake, very matter-of-factly (and with just a touch of attitude), that Charlie & Sam are her cousins...and her best friends!! (At least she doesn't think they are mine & Kenny's imaginary friends, which is what we feared she thought...seeing that we have been talking about them for some time now and haven't actually been able to produce real boys for her to see...)
Having a Pastor willing to totally play the role and dressing in his "Australian Best" each night!
Seeing baby Addie clapping and dancing to the Worship Rally songs at Friday's Family Night...so stinkin' cute! And then having the preschoolers sing the most precious song to all of us...we have the BEST group of preschoolers around (and the best preschool teachers, truth be told!).
Due to some "technical difficulties", having the WHOLE Jolly Family join us for the last night of VBS!! It's way more fun with you guys there... :)
Shall we start planning for next year?!?!?
