hello mr. blog!

well....this is new! i'm slow to catch on with this "blogging" thing, but now that i've caught on, i thought it might be a good way to keep up with those that are oh, so far away from us at this time in our lives!! we'll see how this works, so check back...if i've added stuff, that means that i like this thing they call blog...
